MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 31-year-old Apple Valley man is in critical condition after his pickup truck rear-ended a semi Tuesday afternoon in Dakota County, the State Patrol says.

Justin Fettig suffered serious injuries when his Ford pickup slammed into the back of a semi and drove under the semi’s trailer shortly before 3:30 p.m. The crash happened on southbound Highway 52, just south of Highway 55 near Inver Grove Heights.

The semi’s driver, 54-year-old Randall Kellison, of Tilden, Ill., was not injured.

The State Patrol is investigating the crash with the help of the Inver Grove Heights and Rosemount police departments.
