MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man with ties to the Twin Cities theater community was found dead in a car Tuesday afternoon in northern Minnesota, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities responded to a report of a body found in a car at about 1:19 p.m. in the northern Minnesota city of Orr. A person called 911 after hiking in a wooded area when they came upon a vehicle parked on a logging tote road with a dead body inside.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as 48-year-old Andrew Wagner. Authorities said foul play is not suspected in his death.

According to a Duluth News Tribune report, Wagner was reported missing about four months ago on May 3. He was last seen at a cemetery in Virginia. Wagner had residences in northern Minnesota and in northeast Minneapolis near the Ritz Theater, where he was the artistic director.

The report also said Wagner had started working on a performance with the Ordway Theater in St. Paul.
