MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — WCCO-TV is launching a new, hour-long Sunday morning local newscast from 6:00 to 7:00 a.m., beginning September 9. WCCO-TV anchor/reporter Esme Murphy will team up with meteorologist Matt Brickman to host WCCO-TV 4 News Sunday Morning at 6 a.m., in addition to WCCO-TV 4 News Sunday Morning at 10:30 a.m.

“As the local news leader, we are always looking for opportunities to increase our commitment to serving our viewers. We feel Sunday mornings is a great time to make this happen,” said Brien Kennedy, WCCO-TV Vice President and General Manager.

WCCO-TV has had a long history of providing news and information Sunday mornings. WCCO-TV 4 News Sunday at 6 a.m. will now be a part of the Sunday morning line-up that also includes CBS News Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood (8:00 – 9:30 a.m.), Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer (9:30 – 10:30 a.m.) and WCCO-TV 4 News Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
