Lake Harriet Bandshell Holding Concert For 9/11 Anniversary

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Tuesday marks 11 years since the Sept. 11 attacks on New York that destroyed with World Trade Center towers and shocked America.

It will be the 11th anniversary, and people in the Twin Cities will come together as they have every year since the attacks at the Lake Harriet Bandshell.

There will be a 9/11 tribute concert that's made up of a 63-piece orchestra and a 57-member boys chorus. They are all volunteering their time.

One of the organizers, Bob Byers was on the WCCO Saturday Morning Show with a preview of what people can expect.

"An all-patriotic evening of music to remember 9/11, which we should never forget," he said.

The 9/11 tribute concert will take place at the Lake Harriet Bandshell at 7 p.m. Tuesday. There will be a concert and parade.
