Authorities ID Man Stabbed To Death At Bus Shelter

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man who was stabbed to death at a north Minneapolis bus shelter over the weekend has been identified.

Authorities have identified the victim as Evander Lazar Partee, 46 of Minneapolis. The Hennepin County Medical examiner said he died of a stab wound to the chest.

Minneapolis Police Sgt. Stephen McCarty said police responded to the stabbing at the intersection of Lyndale and 18th avenues at around 7:30 p.m. Friday. Medical personnel tried to revive Partee, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are still investigating what led up to the stabbing and have no suspects in custody. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Minneapolis Police.
