Simpson, Stafford Active For Vikings-Lions

DETROIT (AP) — Minnesota wide receiver Jerome Simpson is active for Sunday's game at Detroit after serving a three-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

The suspension stemmed from an offseason felony drug conviction.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford is active for the Lions. He left last weekend's loss to Tennessee with an injured right hip.

Detroit safety Amari Spievey is inactive with a groin problem. Ricardo Silva, signed from the practice squad Saturday night, is expected to start at safety.

Also inactive for Detroit are quarterback Kellen Moore, safety Louis Delmas, linebacker Travis Lewis, tackles Jason Fox and Corey Hilliard and defensive tackle Corey Williams.

Quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, WRs Stephen Burton and Jarius Wright, safeties Andrew Sendejo and Mistral Raymond, LB Erin Henderson and guard Mark Asper are inactive for the Vikings.
