1 Killed In Motorcycle Vs. Car Crash In Western Wis.

TRIMBELLE TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WCCO) -- Authorities have identified the person killed after a motorcycle and vehicle crashed in Pierce County, Wisconsin.

The county sheriff's office says the crash happened on Wednesday along U.S. Highway 63 about one half-mile south of Highway K in Trimbelle Township.

Authorities said a vehicle being driven by Cassandra Smith of Red Wing, Minn. crashed with a motorcycle being driven by Dennis Manning of Pine Island, Minn.

Both were taken to the hospital, along with Stephanie Foster, a passenger on the motorcycle.

Authorities said that Manning was pronounced dead at Regions Hospital in St. Paul.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
