'Explore Minnesota' Officials Say State Tourism Is Up

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The head of Explore Minnesota says the glass is "half full" when it comes to tourism in the state.

John Edman says a survey of hundreds of businesses shows 78 percent are doing better right now compared to this time last year. But in our "Groupon" society,  Edman said those hotels, lodges and attractions are having to deal with customers who want a bargain, which can present challenges for their bottom lines.

So what's on your "bucket list" when it comes to enjoying all that Minnesota has to offer?  WCCO's Laura Oakes gathered a few ideas. Among the most popular was experiencing everything the North Shore has to offer.
