RUSHFORD, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say five children have been taken a hospital after their school bus was rear-ended by an SUV, though only minor injuries are being reported.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 25 children were on the bus when it was hit shortly before 4 p.m. Friday in Rushford.
The patrol says the bus was stopped and dropping off a student along State Highway 43 when the SUV came over a hill and hit the bus. The patrol says the bus’ lights were flashing.
The Post Bulletin reports that five children ranging in age from 7 to 13 were taken to Community Memorial Hospital in Winona. The patrol says their injuries are not life-threatening.
The drivers of the bus and SUV weren’t injured.
