Edina Man's Body Found In St. Croix River

TAYLORS FALLS, Minn. (WCCO) -- The body of a 52-year-old Edina man has been pulled out of the St. Croix River.

On Sunday at 11:38 a.m., authorities responded to an address on Wild Mountain Road near Taylors Falls, Minn. on a report of a drowning victim.

Upon arrival, CPR was in progress after the victim was pulled out of the river. The victim was then loaded and transported to St. Croix ER. He was pronounced dead at the ER at 1:34 p.m.

The victim has been identified as Steven Richard Labarron.

According to the Chisago County Sheriff's Office, Labarron was pulling a dock out of the river near a steep bank. When it disconnected from the pulling rope, the dock struck Labarron in the head, causing him to fall in the water.
