Bidding Process Could Delay St. Paul Saints Stadium
ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- The city of St. Paul has now decided to accept bids for designing a new Saints ballpark, but the decision could delay the project.
The Taxpayers League of Minnesota and Republican activist Greg Copeland filed a lawsuit last week. It argued the city awarded a contract to the Ryan Companies without a bidding process.
City officials now say a request for proposals will go out Nov. 30. The Parks and Recreation Director says he hopes the stadium will still be ready for opening day in 2015.
