Vikings Have WR Simpson Active For Arizona

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Wide receiver Jerome Simpson is playing for Minnesota after a problem with his lower left leg prompted the Vikings to make him inactive last week.

Simpson was held out at Washington, but practiced all week. Inactive for the Vikings Sunday against Arizona are quarterback McLeod-Bethel Thompson, wide receiver Jarius Wright, cornerback Brandon Burton, safety Mistral Raymond, linebacker Audie Cole, tackle Mark Asper and defensive end D'Aundre Reed. Raymond (right ankle) has missed four straight games.

Safety Kerry Rhodes (back) is being replaced in the Cardinals lineup by Rashad Johnson. Tight end Todd Heap (left knee) is out for the fifth straight game. Quarterback Kevin Kolb (ribs), cornerback Greg Toler (hamstring), fullback Anthony Sherman (knee), linebacker Reggie Walker (concussion) and guard Senio Kelemete are also inactive.
