14 Burglaries Reported In 1 Week In Mpls. Neighborhood

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police are warning Minneapolis residents that a neighborhood in the city's fourth precinct has seen a significant number of robberies in recent weeks.

According to the police department, there were fourteen burglaries in the space of one week, between Oct. 14 and 20. Most of the robberies centered around the Webber Camden neighborhood.

The bulk of the burglaries happened during the daytime when people were at work, police said.

The incidents have mostly happened after the burglars forced their way through back or side doors, though in some cases the burglars entered through unsecured windows.

Police wanted to remind the public to report any suspicious activity by calling 911. Anyone with information specific to the rash of burglaries in the Webber Camden area should call the 4th Precinct Property Crimes Unit at 612-673-5714.
