MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 15-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in the leg during a drive-by shooting in north Minneapolis early Saturday morning, according to Minneapolis Police.
At 12:53 p.m., officers responded to the report of shooting and located the boy, who showed officers a small bullet hole in his leg, located about mid-thigh.
A witness, who was with the victim at the time of the shooting, said an unknown vehicle stopped in the middle of the block and another vehicle pulled up behind it and passed around it. Then, an unknown party in the back seat of a four-door vehicle shot the boy.
Officers later recovered one .380 shell casing. No further information is available at this time.
The victim’s injury was non-life threatening.
