MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A hotel in far western Minnesota is a total loss after a fire that started early Friday morning.
Fire crews responded to a report of a fire at the Ortonville Hotel on Main Street at about 3:07 a.m. When crews arrived on scene, the hotel was completely engulfed in flames. Ortonville is a small town west of Willmar.
Authorities said it only took about 10 minutes for the entire building to be destroyed by the fire. Crews had the fire out by about 6:30 a.m., authorities said. Emergency officials said the building is a total loss, but nobody was hurt in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
