GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — President Barack Obama’s campaign has released more information about his visit to Green Bay next week.
The president will be at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena on Tuesday afternoon. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and Obama is expected to appear about two hours later.
Obama’s visit will be sandwiched between campaign stops by his Republican opponents. Mitt Romney will be in Wisconsin one day earlier, and vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is returning to his home state the day afterward.
All that attention on Wisconsin underscores how urgently both campaigns need the state’s 10 electoral votes. The presidential race is a virtual dead heat in Wisconsin.
Obama’s appearance will be exactly one week before the Nov. 6 election.
Vice President Joe Biden visited Oshkosh and Wausau on Friday.
