ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – A 44-year-old man suspected of burglary was arrested after taking a swing at a police officer in St. Cloud late Tuesday evening.

According to a police report, a burglary in progress was reported on the 1500 block of 15th Avenue Southeast.

Officers found Antoine Jones, of St. Cloud, at the scene. Jones took a swing at one officer, striking the officer in the shoulder.

He was placed under arrest for fourth-degree assault, obstructing the legal process and disorderly conduct.

He’s currently being held in Sherburne County Jail.
