BEMIDJI, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 74-year-old woman who died in a house fire east of Bemidji on Friday.
The Beltrami County sheriff’s office identifies the victim as the homeowner, Ingeburg Katharina Tangen.
Firefighters were called around 2:45 a.m. Friday and arrived to find the home engulfed in flames. Tangen’s body was found inside the home after crews put out the fire.
An autopsy is pending. The Bemidji Fire Department and the sheriff’s office are investigating with help from the Minnesota state fire marshal’s office.
