MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — One person is dead and another was airlifted from the scene of a high-speed crash on Highway 50, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The one-car crash happened around 2:40 p.m. on westbound Highway 50 and Hogan, west of New Trier.
Authorities say the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, went off the road and both occupants were ejected.
One of the occupants was found dead on arrival, the other was airlifted to Regions Hospital.
The State Patrol said Highway 50 is closed while they investigate the crash.
