MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Twin Cities Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign Kick Off — Rock the Red Kettle raised $108,958.76 in just one day.
“Last year was a great kickoff event, we raised $65,000 that was a record at that time, and when we put the goal at $108,000, we were a little concerned, but we did it,” Spokeswoman Annette Bauer said.
Bauer says there are more than 100,000 hours of bell ringing left in the season which runs through Dec. 24.
She said if anyone wants to volunteer, they can just go to SalvationArmyNorth.org.
