MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – At least one person is dead after a car and a semi collided Monday night in Waseca County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities say the crash happened at about 8:04 p.m. Monday near the intersection of County Road 14 and County Road 27. The State Patrol says a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis was traveling southbound on County Road 27 and stopped at the intersection of County Road 14.
The semi was traveling westbound on County Road 14 and broadsided the car, authorities said. At least one person inside the car was killed. The driver of the semi was not injured, according to the State Patrol.
The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Minnesota State Patrol with the investigation of the crash. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
