MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Up to 3 inches of snow in the metro has made Black Friday traveling a bit treacherous for some.
In addition to a semi that jack-knifed Friday morning on 494 at Penn Avenue in Bloomington with no reported injuries, a state trooper’s squad car got hit in Benton County, reports say.
The trooper was stopped north of Sauk Rapids and helping others who were in the ditch on Highway 10 by West Lake Road.
In the last 24 hours, the Minnesota State Patrol has handled 183 crashes, with no serious injuries or fatal crashes. The patrol reports that 226 vehicles have slid off the road and needed to be towed.
