EAGAN, Minn. (WCCO) – There will soon be a new way to get discounts and deals year round in the Twin Cities.
The Eagan City Council has approved preliminary plans for a new outlet mall that would be located near Cedar Avenue and Highway 13, about 5 miles south of Mall of America.
The 441,000-square-foot outlet would feature nearly 100 brand-name stores, making it one of the largest outlet centers in the metro area, and the closest to both downtowns.
The complex is reportedly being planned with the name Paragon Outlets at Cedar Grove.
There are currently outlet centers in Albertville, North Branch and Medford.
City officials expect to have all the plans hammered out by January, and developers hope to have the outlet mall up and running within two years.
