Police: Man Pulls Gun On Another Man After Bar Argument

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 52-year-old Eagan man is accused of pulling a gun on another man during an argument outside a Burnsville bar after a woman in the bar was being repeatedly harassed, according to charges filed Wednesday in Dakota County Court.

Hamzeh Daghighian was charged with one felony count of second-degree assault and one felony count of terroristic threats in connection with the incident, which happened last Saturday.

According to a complaint, Burnsville Police were called to a bar on a report of a gun pointing incident . When authorities arrived, a witness told them they saw a man pull a gun on another man in the parking lot. At one point, the gun was pushed into the victim's face. The victim went back into the bar and the suspect, later identified as Daghighian, drove off.

Officers located the victim inside the bar. The victim told police he was in the bar with a female friend when an older man, later identified as Daghighian, was repeatedly grabbing the woman's butt. The victim told him to stop grabbing the woman, and Daghighian asked the victim if he wanted to step outside, the complaint states.

The two went outside, and Daghighian allegedly went to a white SUV and grabbed a gun. He then pushed the gun into the victim's chest, then pushed it up to his chin. The victim old Daghighian he was calling the police, and the suspect got in his car and left, according to the complaint.

Officers later arrested Daghiaghian at his Eagan home. If convicted, he faces up to 12 years in prison and $24,000 in fines.
