LAKE PARK, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian in Becker County late Thursday evening.

According to the State Patrol, the crash happened along Highway 10 near Lake Park. A GMC Acadia was traveling eastward on the highway when it struck 25-year-old Shelby Somerville near 2nd Street.

She was walking south across the highway at that point.

The State Patrol said that there is no crosswalk where Somerville was killed.

The driver was not injured in the incident.
