OAKDALE, Minn. (WCCO) – A police chase that started in Wisconsin ended with two arrests in Minnesota Friday morning.

A task force in Wisconsin’s St. Croix County had been watching movement on two people when they fled, initiating a police pursuit.

Police in Hudson, Wis. said that a squad car was rammed on Crestview Drive, but the officer inside was not injured.

The two drove across the state line into Minnesota. Officers with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office picked up the chase on Westbound Interstate 94.

The chase continued onto northbound I-694 until suspects parked the vehicle at an L.A. Fitness located on the 7300 block of 33rd Street North in Oakdale.

The two attempted to flee on foot. One suspect was immediately taken into custody, the second suspect was taken into custody about 20 minutes later without incident.

Authorities said they were not sure when charges would be filed in connection to the chase.
