CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) — A 31-year-old northern Iowa man who took two boys across state lines to molest them has been given life in prison.
Michael Goodale, of Mason City, was sentenced on Thursday in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids. Goodale was convicted on July 5 of aggravated sexual abuse, interstate transportation of minors to have sex, and viewing child pornography.
Goodale was convicted of abusing two boys between the ages of 9 and 13 between 2008 and September 2011. Authorities say he sexually abused the boys in Iowa and Minnesota.
