DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Bemidji State goalie Andrew Walsh made 33 saves as the Beavers beat Minnesota-Duluth 2-1 Saturday to split their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series with the Bulldogs.
Minnesota-Duluth (6-7-3, 3-6-3) won Friday’s game 4-2.
Walsh was just 50 seconds away from a shutout before Caleb Hebert scored on the power play and with an extra attacker on the ice.
Markus Gerbrandt and Jordan George scored second-period goals for Bemidji State (4-8-2, 3-7-2).
Minnesota-Duluth outshot the Beavers 2-1.
Matt Prapavessia assisted on both Bemidji State goals.
Aaron Crandall had 17 saves for the Bulldogs.
