MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Minnesota Twins announced its 2013 minor league staff assignments Monday, which includes a familiar face.

Doug Mientkiewicz will begin his first year as manager of the Twins Single-A affiliate Ft. Myers Miracle (Florida State League).

The former Minnesota Twin was previously with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he was the hitting coach for the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League in 2012.

Mientkiewicz played 12 seasons in the major leagues, including roughly seven seasons with the Minnesota Twins from 1998 to 2004.
