FRIDLEY, Minn. (WCCO) — Authorities still want to know what happened to a man who was found early Saturday morning in Fridley with serious injuries.

Police say someone reported a man laying on the side of the road at 2:35 a.m. Saturday. They found the 23-year-old man critically injured, on the 7300 block of Highway 65.

The victim was taken to the hospital where it was determined that he suffered head trauma, but no other injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s office is asking for the public’s help in locating any witnesses to this incident, especially regarding a possible vehicle of interest – a 2007 – 2012 Black Cadillac Escalade with fresh rear-end damage.

The driver of the vehicle is believed to be a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches with short hair.

Anyone with information regarding this case or this vehicle is asked to contact the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office at (763) 427-1212.
