ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities say one person suffered minor injuries in a house fire in St. Paul early Tuesday morning.
Fire crews were called to the 400 block of LaFond Avenue at about 3 a.m. on a report of a house fire. When authorities arrived, a fire had started in the basement of the residence and spread up through the home all the way to the roof.
Authorities said the home suffered significant damage in the blaze, but nobody was seriously hurt. One person inside the residence suffered minor injuries.
Authorities said the cause of the fire is still under investigation and it’s a good reminder to double check and make sure your smoke detectors work.
