ST. PAUL (WCCO) — A man is dead after having a medical issue and rear-ending another car in St. Paul Tuesday morning, according to police.

The crash was reported at 10:30 a.m. on the intersection of West 7th Street and Maynard Drive, St. Paul Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Paulos said.

The driver had a “medical issue” and crashed into the back of another vehicle carrying a woman and her 5-year-old son. They were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver died at the scene. He is expected to be identified soon, pending family notification.
