MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – What started as a viral video craze over the summer has landed a spot in Spin Magazine’s list of Best Songs of 2012.

“Hot Cheetos & Takis” was written and performed by a group of grade-schoolers in the North Community YMCA’s Beats and Rhymes Program. It landed as number 18 in Spin Magazine’s Best Songs of the year list.

The magazine wrote: “this summer anthem induced more unjaded smiles than any other song in 2012.”
