According to police, a man was arrested in a stolen vehicle along Humboldt Avenue in Uptown. Police say the man stole an off-duty police officer’s vehicle at the gas station.

Police did not identify the suspect.

Officers say they are looking into the possibility the suspect was involved in two other assaults prior to the shooting incident — one at 49th and Flag in New Hope and another at a SuperAmerica in Crystal.

The officer involved in the shooting has been placed on paid administrative leave, which is standard procedure for incidents such as this.
