MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 50-year-old man from Evansville was killed Thursday night after getting caught in a piece of machinery at a northwestern Minnesota waste company, according to Alexandria Police.
Authorities responded to a report of a medical emergency at about 9 p.m. Thursday at the Pope Douglas Solid Waste facility on the 2100 block of Jefferson Street in Alexandria. The initial report was that a man had fallen off a ladder.
When authorities arrived, they learned an employee at the facility had been caught in a piece of machinery and was unconscious. Emergency personnel tried to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as Tim Allen Anderson.
