MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Playoff fever is officially underway as the Vikings/Packers postseason rematch in Green Bay, Wis., is just three days away.
Purple faithful packed the Mall of America’s Vikings Locker Room.
“People just love the rivalry between the two teams,” Annie Johnson said.
The rivalry T-shirt is still selling well, even though it has last Sunday’s date on it. The store will be getting a similar shirt for Saturday’s playoff game, too. It’ll be in-store on Thursday.
And what about Adrian Peterson apparel?
“We can’t keep it in stock, it has been flying, flying, flying, which is a good thing,” Johnson said. ” But it gets a little tough when people come in asking, ‘Do you have anything Adrian Peterson?’ and we’re sold out.”
Shoppers are also using the Border Battle as an excuse to dress the next generation of Viking fans.
And whether they’re watching the game at Lambeau, at a sports bar, or at home — Viking fans will look the part.
“My Vikings jersey, I had it personalized, my name on the back, signed by a couple of players,” Tyler Berg said.
