ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) — Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in front of a nightclub in St. Cloud early Monday morning.

According to officers, the incident happened along the 10 block of 5th Avenue South at about 2:30 a.m.

A 27-year-old man from Waite Park was found lying on the ground in front of the Red Carpet nightclub. Police reported he had been struck by a maroon 1994 Ford Taurus, which had been abandoned in the middle of the road by its driver after the incident.

The man was taken to the emergency room at St. Cloud Hospital, where his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

Police are still investigating the incident, and ask any witnesses or anyone with information on who may have been driving the vehicle to contact them at 320-251-1200.
