ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) – A man walking across an intersection against a red light was struck and injured by a car in St. Cloud on Tuesday evening.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway 23 and Lincoln Avenue Southeast, according to St. Cloud Police.

At about 8 p.m., 25-year-old Robert James Baker was walking in the intersection against the red light, police said. A vehicle traveling with a green light struck Baker in the crosswalk.

Baker was severely injured and taken to the emergency room at the St. Cloud Hospital. Authorities said it doesn’t appear his injuries were life-threatening.

Police said it’s not likely charges will be filed against the driver.
