MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — We’re getting a better look at the severity of the water main break that flooded part of downtown Minneapolis.
A photo posted Wednesday shows how big the hole was in that 3-foot-wide water main that ruptured last Thursday.
The city posted the picture on Twitter and said the section that came off the pipe was more than six-feet long.
About 14 million gallons of water flooded the downtown area.
This happened when an excavation contractor was working near the pipe.
