MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have identified a man who was stabbed to death in a north Minneapolis homicide last weekend.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim Tuesday as Ever R. Gonzalez-Canales, 35 of Minneapolis.

Police were called to the 2900 block of Russell Avenue North at about 3:25 a.m. Sunday on a report of a disturbance. On the way to the scene, authorities learned a man had been stabbed inside the home. When authorities arrived, they found Gonzalez-Canales unresponsive.

Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene. No suspects have been arrested at this time, and the case has been handed over to the Minneapolis homicide unit. Anyone with information about the murder is asked to call (612) 692-8477.
