EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WCCO) — Chad Greenway didn’t get snubbed from the NFC Pro Bowl after all.
The Minnesota Vikings announced Thursday that linebacker Greenway — who recorded a personal-best 191 tackles in 2012 – has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl. He’s replacing Dallas Cowboys’ linebacker DeMarcus Ware.
Greenway is now the first Vikings linebacker to attend back-to-back Pro Bowls since Scott Studwell in 1987 and 1988.
In addition to 191 tackles, he had seven tackles for a loss, three sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception.
Greenway is the fifth Viking selected to the 2012 Pro Bowl, joining Adrian Peterson, Jared Allen, Jerome Felton and Blair Walsh.
