Gopher Star Williams Owes Career To Offseason Hoops

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Before he was a Gopher, Rodney Williams was a high-flying star at Robbinsdale Cooper.

And while his high school winter months were memorable, it was the summer seasons that earned him a scholarship.

“For me, the big thing was getting out on the Nike circuit and playing for Howard Pulley,” he said. “They brought us around the country and let a lot of coaches see what I could do.”
