MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 3-year-old boy spent about three hours alone on a very cold Head Start bus parked in northern Minnesota.
Someone passing by the bus heard Ty Stiffarm screaming last night.
His mom says Ty’s hands turned purple from the cold, and he was treated at a hospital in Cloquet.
The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is blaming the bus driver.
They say he didn’t check to see that all the kids had gotten off the bus when he dropped them off at a Head Start facility, near Cloquet.
Temperatures were hovering around zero.
The boy is now recovering at home.
