MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minnesotans are waking up to the coldest weather in four years Monday morning.
For the first time during that span, Monday’s high temperature won’t get above zero, and wind chills will make it feel like between 25 and 40 degrees below zero across the state for most of the day. It’s cold enough that frost bit can settle in on your uncovered areas within minutes.
But just how cold is it? Our morning team put the conditions to the ultimate test. See what happens when we take a cup of boiling hot water and throw it in the air, or what happens when you accidentally leave your banana outside for too long.
