Crews Install Misspelled Street Signs In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- With construction of the new light rail line to St. Paul nearing completion, many other improvements are being made to the area.

Those improvements include road projects and installing new street signs. But not every sign marked an improvement.

Crews installed a sign that featured an embarrassing typo. It read "Unversity Avenue" instead of the correct University Avenue.

St. Paul city officials told the Pioneer Press that the Central Corridor subcontractor -- Safety Signs -- installed the misspelled street sign. They'll be replacing it on Monday.
