MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Award-winning actress Carol Burnett is coming to the historic State Theatre in May, officials announced Tuesday morning.

Burnett, who was won six Emmy awards, will appear in a program that’s interactive with the audience at 8 p.m. Friday, May 17. It’s called “Laughter and Reflection with Carol Burnett: A Conversation with Carol where the Audience Asks the Questions.” It’s a spin-off of what she did with the audience during each episode of “The Carol Burnett Show.”

Burnett already has a show planned for April at the State Theatre that has been sold out, prompting the May show. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday. They can be purchased at the State Theatre box office, the Hennepin Theatre Trust web site or by calling 1-800-982-2787. Tickets range from $53.50 to $63.50 depending on your seating preference.
