MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — Johnny McInnis had a goal and an assist to lead Minnesota State, Mankato to a 4-2 win over Michigan Tech on Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
McInnis’ goal at 13:38 of the second period was the game-winner and helped the Mavericks (19-9-3, 13-9-1) jump into fourth place in the WCHA standings with 27 points.
Matt Leitner, Eriah Hayes and Dylan Margonari also had goals for Minnesota State, Mankato. Stephon Williams made 20 saves.
Alex Petan had two power-play goals for Michigan Tech (9-15-4, 6-13-4). Petan has scored 12 points in the past eight games.
Michigan Tech goalie Pheonix Copley had 32 stops.
