MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Jackie Cherryholmes made the announcement today at Standard Heating on Plymouth Avenue.

It’s a building that she says she help built when she was President of the City Council.

She left her post with the city, and went to work in the private sector. She explained why she believes she’s qualified to be mayor.

NewsRadio 830 WCCO’s Susie Jones Reports

“I’m a mom, and I think that gives you a different level of experience,” she said. “I’ve worked in the neighborhoods, and I’ve worked in government, and I have a set of skills that nobody in the race has.”

If elected, one of her top priorities would be job creation.
