MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say a Hennepin County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a crash on Interstate 94 in Brooklyn Park Saturday afternoon.

Hennepin County Dispatch said the crash happened at about 12:22 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 94 at Xerxes Avenue. There is no preliminary information on what happened, but authorities said the sheriff’s deputy was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and later released from the hospital. Authorities didn’t say how many vehicles were involved or what led up to the accident.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
