MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said Wednesday they’re offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect after a bank north of the Twin Cities was robbed back on Feb. 19.
The Chisago County Sheriff’s Office says that at about 12:41 p.m. that day, a white man entered the Northwoods Bank in Rush City and told a bank teller he had a gun and was demanding money. The suspect handed the teller a plastic grocery bag and had the teller fill it with an undisclosed amount of money before he fled the scene.
The suspect is described as about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. The Northwoods Bank is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest and conviction. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office at (651) 257-4100.
